Tracy Rogers - Three Wise Men and Log Cabin Christmas Tree
I used to attend weekly patchwork classes at Susan Iacuone's home for 8 years, before she moved to Castlemaine. And I decided to make a Christmas quilt each year. The "Log Cabin Christmas Tree" quilt was made in 1999, and the "Three Wise Men" quilt was made in 2000. The "Three Wise Men" quilt is one of my very favourite quilts - I loved using the velvets, taffeta and satin in it. And I adore the 3 charms I found for it.

Sue McConchie - Tulip Time
From 101 Quilt Blocks and Borders. A Round Robin project for our friendship group. The task was to create the centre block and pass it on, anonymously, every two months for a new border to be added. It took nearly eighteen months to return to the original owner. Sometimes it was daunting trying to decide what colour or design to add next. At the final showing all of the results were very different and quite spectacular. Mine has yet to be quilted but I am absolutely thrilled with the result.

Denise Muschamp - Shangri-la
This quilt is based on the Blackford's Beauty Block also known as Arrowhead. All fabrics are from Moda's Shangri-la range. I made this quilt for use in our caravan. It was our home between June and Sept this year when we travelled over 16,000Km around the eastern half of Australia. Machine pieced by myself and quilted by Christine Calheros of Edge-to-edge Quilting.

Norma Aitken - Sunshine in Paris
Most of the fabric for this quilt was purchased at Le Rouvrey in Paris. A very similar yellow fabric was used on the chairs in the dining room of Monet's house in Giverney. I designed this quilt to have a provincial country feel. The quilt was pieced and quilted by Norma Aitken.

Denise Muschamp - Under the Mistletoe
A Moda pattern. I originally saw the pattern for this block, 'Christmas Cactus", in Baltimore Album Quilts by Ellie Sienkievicz. I loved the block and enjoyed the cutwork technique used in its construction. When I saw this kit by Moda it was a 'must have". Unfortunately there were numerous issues with the kit and I began to think I would be naming my quilt "Mistletoe Mistake"! However, perseverance paid off and 20 months later I finished the top. Hand appliqued and machine pieced by myself and quilted by Desley Regan.

Gale Wickes - Beautiful Bargello
Designed and Quilted by - Desley Regan This quilt top was started in a Waverley Patchworkers workshop 'Lavender Horizons' with Desley Regan in March 2006. This was the workshop for me as I so wanted to do a bargello quilt, More than half the top was completed at the workshop but then it ended up in a cupboard when I moved a few months later. As 2008 was my year to work on and complete UFOs I finished joining the strips and added the borders to complete the top in March. When I couldn't decide on how I wanted to quilt it I booked Desley for the quilting. With the quilting done by the end of June another month went by before I finally did the binding. To complete the quilt a label was added in November. I am very pleased with my 'Beautiful Bargello'.

Gale Wickes - Secret Santa
This quilt top was made in a couple of hours on the Sunday of Melbourne Cup weekend using a Christmas panel and matching fabric that was an early Christmas gift from Jo, a member of my friendship group. I found just the right co-ordinating fabric for the binding in my stash. There was even enough left to use for the rod pocket. I then embellished the wall hanging using Christmas buttons and rhinestone. This 'Secret Santa' wall hanging was fun and quick to make and is to be my Kris Kringle gift at a special Christmas lunch on Saturday for a group of primary school teachers who have been friends for over 30 years.

Emma Baumann - Golden Ripples
Designed by me from the necessity to make the best use of only 2.5m of feature fabric which I didn't want to cut into little pieces. Made for my Parents-in-law's 50th Wedding Anniversary on 22 November 2008. I scanned the fabric and used the daffodils on the invitations to Anniversary Brunch in our home for my parents-in-law's family and friends. The quilt was hanging on the wall when they arrived. It was received with appropriate surprise and delight.

Linda Crouch - Holly Berry
Quilted by Desley Regan. I started these blocks to have something to occupy my hands while sitting and waiting at guitar lessons, drum lessons, basketball, auditions, horseriding, etc. It took several years! I forgot to put a label on it so I can't remember when I finished it.
