Ros Faichney - Celtic Dream
Designer: Ros Faichney Basedon Angela Madden's Sew Easy Celtic This is a wedding gift to my son Iain and his finacee. My brief was "Blue & Green Celtic". Easier said than done. It took many months to find a base pattern, then I had to design, draft and make the bias. This only left 16 days to make it. Quilted by Jude Ankers of Mansfield

Lois Pratt - Flowering Urn
Designer - Rosemary Makhan, inspired by William Morris I fell in love with this design especially the urn and swirling stems. I began working on it at the retreat at Marysville in 2002. Progress was slow but it was eventually put on the wall in late 2008.

Karen Clarke - My Blue Heaven

Krista Black - Bushfire Appeal Quilt
My Bushfire Appeal Quilt is nearly done. This is the largest quilt I have ever made and you need to be an octopus to handle all of it in the machine. Although the design is simple, I hope it is more interesting because of the 27 different fabrics used.

Jenny Stokes - Split Nine Patch
This was done as a challenge for the 'Seam Sisters' Friendship Group. We spent one of our meeting days shopping for fabric, then all made a quilt. The quilts are being given to the Children's Oncology Ward at Monash. (Another challenge - the first larger quilt that I've machine quilted.)

Krista Black - Purple Delicious
This quilt started as a stack of fabrics I was auditioning for an exchange block with the Nightowls. The fabrics looked so delicious together that the next thing I knew I needed to make a quilt from them.

Noreen Callinan -
When our son was "Mr Mum" to his sons, the Kalbarie Bag I made was always called 'Tony's Wallet'. Now he's remarried a wallet was requested for the new grandchild. The problem was that my pattern was lost or misplaced. Fortunately a chance remark at a Waverley meeting resulted in a copy of the pattern handed to me a few days later. Thanks to Rosalind and Nora. I'll fill the bag & have it ready for the new baby's arrival.

Time to clear out some of my UFOs. These tops have been in my cupboard for a few years so I've decided to donate them as gift quilts. I now only have about 140 UFOs left (NO JOKE!!!)

Time to clear out some of my UFOs. These tops have been in my cupboard for a few years so I've decided to donate them as gift quilts. Had to put the left over fabrics together as a mate for the other quilt.

This was a sample for a technique class that I taught in Perth. No-one's quilt bore any resemblance to this when they were finished even though they had all the same elements.

Kerry Eustace - Our Family Legacy
Designed by Quilts & Threads, SA; Quilted by Lorraine Carbonne I started this quilt in approx 2004 after I had seen an ad in a mag. I finished the quilt in Jan this year. I replaced some of the cottons with silks and satins, including some silk from my mother's wedding dress. It is my hope that this quilt will become a family heirloom.
