The Thimble Nimbles -
Group ChallengeIn 2007 our Friendship group had a group challenge. We each cfreated a row of 6" by 30" to our own theme and colour scheme. Then, each month our row was passed onto the next member or our group whose challenge it was to continue that theme and colour but she also had another specified theme, such as, stars, squares, Seminole, applique, etc. At the end of the year we were each presented with our rows to finish as we wished, not having seen them at all during that year. These are our quilts some are finished and some are tops.

I made this quilt as a trial run for design & pattern - with lots of moving squares around. Now the quilt is for a donation to Cara or to the Bushfire appeal.

Professorial BluesI made this quilt for my "teaching partner" and mentor who got a new job as a Professor in Queensland. I thought the colours were good for the coastal feel. Unfortunately, she has been sick (but is getting better) so I renamed it "Professorial Blues". I started it in the fabulous workshop given by Anne-Marie Campbell.

How Many Flowers, Julie? The hexagons were made by Julie and given to me about 9 years ago with the proviso that I would "do something with them". The design grew like Topsy and finally I completed the quilt this year.
